Robert Macy was a former retired LA Press Correspondent who spent a decade engaging in journalism, media affairs, and tv. He was known for making friendships with many well-known celebrities and conducted more than 200 interviews with them.

The Death of Robert Macy was announced by his family who stated that he died early Friday in a hospital in Las Vegas dealing with a brief Illness at the age of 85. However, the Family has not revealed anything specific regarding his death cause. He worked in journalism, media relations, and television for ten years. His nearly 30-year career with the AP began when he was hired as a journalist by the Kansas City, Missouri, news cooperative in 1971.

For his early reporting on a hotel pedestrian walkway collapse that resulted in more than 100 fatalities, Macy gained attention. He formed relationships with well-known celebrities and spoke with them for more than 200 interviews. Following his departure from the AP in 2000, Macy was inducted into the Nevada Newspaper Hall of Fame the following year.
